I've been really busy with commissions lately and have not had much time to do personal work (which means that I'm bubbling with ideas for it and just can't execute any of them). I'll try to get some photos of some doors I've been painting for Lobb and what little progress has been made on Ventricle.
Until I get the chance the update again, I'd like for everyone to check out my friend Mallory's portfolio. She's one of the most talented photographers and designers I've ever seen. :)

Alright.

In the previous entry, I lied about the artwork update -- terribly sorry about that. I'm currently without a decent SFTP program and have to upload everything manually through Movable Type, which isn't a bad system, but gets a bit exhausting after a while.
I've been without much time, recently, in spite of doing very little, and so I've not been able to work on the piece in the previous post too much. However, I do have photographs of what has been completed on it thus far (finished inking, first background wash applied). I've been painting a mural for a friend, and I did manage to produce a much more simplistic layout, but whether or not it's aesthetically pleasing to other viewers is not soemthing I'm aware of -- please let me know if this text is hard to read!
I'm considering opening up a small store on Etsy, to sell old work, as well as some small jewelry bits and pieces I've been conjuring. Whether or not this will happen, only time will tell.

I've been beginning some art and not having much time to finish it (see below -- I'd been hoping to have that piece done within three days, but it must wait until the weekend), and stewing over some ideas. Hopefully, I'll be able to accomplish something portfolio-worthy by the end of June.
I am selling my Illustration I project for the Seven Deadly Sins (covering Lust/Greed -- here is an exceptionally low-quality photograph of it), as its original buyer never paid, and contemplating whether or not I should rid myself of this original or this one, or a piece I've not yet completed (from May) after I'm able to work on it.
<S>I currently have a commission slot open.</s>
Details: <S>a maximum size of 18x24", watercolor/mixed media piece. $45 base minimum; price varies depending on size, detail, etc. Band/gig posters have a base minimum of $60, plus the price of prints needed to be produced (if necessary at all).
I'll be in Austin with the majestic Rob and wonderful Michael Bell. I'll try to have some decent photos from the show/Texas and get some sketching done. I'm full of ideas but am not so sure if I'll maintain the motivation to execute them.
My portfolio review for KCAD is on June 9th. I'm really nervous about it (and becoming apprehensive about school/art/life in general at the moment -- my ever-so-minute flare of competetiveness died long ago -- and I think that I need to call Melissa for a pep talk soon). Any friends who would like to make the trip with me are welcome to join.
In the meantime, I must direct you to this blog entry by Miriam Rouziek, one of my favorite bloggers.

This is her second suit, after a conflict between her and another formerly major character results in the destruction of most her her first. It's much more industrialized and has a mask (great, cheesy dialogue accompanies introduction of said mask), and a few other differences. Her limbs are supposed to be long, and her hips very big... but, I think that I went a bit overboard in emphasizing that in this sketch. They're not normally quite so... massive.
The other character gets a handprint burned over his chest.
I was skimming through some old sketchbooks a few days ago and really liked a few of the doodles relevant to this story, so I might scan and upload a few things from some years back.
Added some things to the portfolio box, including my Short Stories assignment.
