"Suicide as a Sort of Present", Spring 2009.This is an eight-page mini comic based off of the short story by David Foster Wallace (of the same title). It was done as the last assignment for my Short Stories course taken at RLC, and focused more on the narrative than on the imagery. Our instructor asked students to take one of the stories we'd read during the semester and change it in some way, and then justify why you made said changes. I added visuals to the story, narrowing the mental imagery the audience would perceive with the story, and changed the ending.
My instructor seemed to like it quite a bit, and since he was my favorite English teacher (and it would be my last class with him), I gave it to him.
For the sake of copyright infringement, I've not uploaded pages with legible text. I suggest reading Wallace's original story first, and if you are further interested in mine, email me and I will send you enlarged scans.
